It was his second year that he was introduced to Jesus. Pup went on to attend Vanguard University and played baseball (fourth in the nation and a Hall of Famer) for two years. After playing for Vanguard, Pup signed with Phillies for a couple of years then traveled down under to play in Australia. He then returned to complete school and has been in youth ministry for twenty years, with the past ten being with Northpark Community Church.

He and his wife, Anastasia, have three children; Zachariah, Samuel, and Ruthie.

Pup was introduced to FCA by Joe & Faythe Broussard several years ago and in 2009 they blessed him with the opportunity to shepherd the FCA Huddles in Clovis Unified. His current role with FCA is as an Area Director (serving Merced, Mariposa, Madera, Fresno, Kings & Tulare). FCA continues to have a strong presence in the Central Valley. Currently there close to 50 huddles being served and reaching more than 4,000 college, high school & middle school students. Pup will also be ministering to local coaches through weekly Bible studies and FCA’s annual Coaches Retreat at Hume Lake. Camp is an important part of FCA’s ministry in the Central Valley with more than 200 local athletes attending football, cross country & soccer camps. Hume Lake weekend sports camps have been a success in sharing the gospel and next fall a new Jr. High Power Camp will be launched just before school begins.
